As regular listeners to our podcast series will have picked up, the increasingly invisible Glyn Lewers does not really talk much with his fellow elected councillors.

His primary, almost only, QLDC relationship is with council CEO Mike Theelen. But as next year’s local elections are now less than a year away how do we think these two are getting along?

For a start, Mr Theelen earns almost four times as much as mayor Lewers. We all know how these type of pay differentials can eat away at an otherwise strong relationship.
